If you’re having this issue, check for the following settings which, in Windows 10, can be found in:
Settings > Ease of Access: Keyboard > Filter Keys > Beep when keys are pressed. Uncheck the box for “Beep when keys are pressed”.
Other Options > Visual notifications for sound. Uncheck the box for “Visual notifications for sounds”.
Basically, “Beep when keys are pressed” tells the computer to make a sound whenever a keystroke is accepted. Then the “Visual notifications for sound” tells it to flash the title bar, active window, or entire screen anytime a sound is made.
