There’s a few things that can cause an issue like this but one thing you can try is go into the account settings and repair the email account through the Outlook Repair option under Settings. Since the program usually shuts down quickly after starting it up, you’ll have to act quickly to open the settings. If you’re able to do this then click “File” then “Account Settings”:
In the top left corner select File > Account Settings > Account Settings > On the Email tab, above the email should say “New, Repair and Change” > Click “Repair“.
Follow the on screen prompts and that should resolve the issue.
If this didn’t fix Outlook from crashing then there are a few other things you can try:
- Scan your device for malware.
- Run Windows Updates.
- Resolve Registry issues through CCleaner or an SFC Scan.
- Run a “Repair” on Outlook through “Programs and Features” in the Control Panel.
